Getting it right
How to measure
Use a soft tape, stand relaxed, and measure over light clothing rather than over a kurta. Keep the tape level and snug — not tight.
- BustAround the fullest part, tape level across the back. Breathe out normally — don't hold it in.
- WaistAround the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the navel. If you don't have an obvious narrowest point, measure at the navel.
- HipAround the fullest part, usually 7–8 inches below the waist. Keep your feet together.
- Shirt lengthFrom the top of the shoulder straight down to where you want the kurta to end.
- Sleeve lengthFrom the shoulder seam to where you want the sleeve to finish.
- Trouser lengthFrom the natural waist to the ankle bone, standing barefoot.
I'm between two sizes — which do I take?
The larger one. Eastern silhouettes hang better with a little room than pulled across the bust, and we'd rather take a piece in than let it out. If the gap is more than one size between your bust and your hip, go custom — that's exactly what it's for.
My bust is one size and my hip is another
Very common, and the main reason standard sizing fails past XL. Send us both numbers on WhatsApp and we'll cut the piece to them at no extra cost.
Do these measurements include ease?
No. Everything in the table is a body measurement. We add the ease when we cut, which differs by silhouette — a chikankari kurta is cut looser than a fitted formal.
What if I'm above 5XL?
Message us. We've made well beyond the chart and the price doesn't change.

Tell us within 7 days. Standard sizes can be exchanged unworn and unwashed; custom pieces we alter for you.
